Originating from our elevated Pewsey Vale vineyard, this Rosé was made from 100% Pinot Noir. With lifted aromas of rose petals, strawberries and a savoury spice, the palate is layered with luscious red cherries, strawberries and cream. A cooler, longer vintage has imparted lively natural acidity with a refreshingly crisp finish.

Winemaking

This small parcel of Single Vineyard Eden Valley Rose was made from Pinot noir grapes. The fruit was pressed directly on skins within two hours of harvesting to achieve the pale pink colour. It was then cold settled for 48 hours. Fermenting at cool temperatures with a small number of solids. The wine was fermented dry, filtered and bottled.

The cooler 2023 vintage signifies a remarkable achievement in winemaking! We've crafted a Pinot Noir Rosé that strikes a balance between delicacy and intensity, embodying the subtleties of floral notes with an alluring hint of creaminess. This Rosé achieved a heightened intensity that harmoniously complements its inherent delicacy echoing the nuances of refined tastes for the discerning palate.

VINTAGE CONDITIONS

The 2023 vintage brought about just above-average rainfall, initiating a cool and wet season that led to delayed flowering compared to the usual timing. As the vintage approached, the cool weather persisted, with temperatures lower than average. Consequently, the ripening periods were significantly slower, enabling enhanced fruit development and acid retention within the vineyard. The combination of the colder and wetter season led to low yields but increased concentration, ultimately contributing to the wines' remarkable intensity.
