While there are various different styles of Shiraz red wine, Barossa Shiraz is specifically grown in the Barossa Valley, northeast of the city of Adelaide in Australia. In fact, Barossa Shiraz is one of Australia's most famous wine varieties. Richly textured with savoury notes of spice, this variety of Shiraz has an opaque, ruby-purple hue and notes of blueberry and blackberry.

There are subtle differences that can be tasted in our Eden Valley and Clare Valley Shiraz due to the different terroir and climate. You can expect our Eden Valley Shiraz to be very smooth and well-balanced with luscious plum and blackberry characters. The rocky and shaley soils of the Eden Valley contribute to a slight mineral taste that counterbalances the peppery and spicy characters expected of cool-climate Shiraz. The Clare Valley, while still being colder than the Barossa Valley, is significantly warmer than the Eden Valley. Shiraz from this region is medium- to full-bodied and rich in berry and plum flavours, with a hint of oak and floral notes.
