Winemaking

Handpicked and whole bunch pressed, this wine exclusively used the best free run juice. this wine was fermented in 100% New French Oak puncheons. Post fermentation, the wine remained in oak on lees for 6 months with lees stirred weekly.

Winemaker's Notes

Chardonnay tends to be an underdog in Eden Valley, it is often overshadowed by the region’s reputation for Rieslings. The 2022 Estate Chardonnay is a great example of what Eden has to offer. It's a balanced wine that is elegant in style, acid-driven, and finished with a good hit of oak to bring new depths to the wine.

Vintage Conditions

The 2024 vintage was shaped by significant rainfall in November and December, which, combined with mild summer conditions, replenished soil moisture and allowed the vines to establish healthy canopies before veraison in late January. A small amount of rain in January and February kept the vines in good health. February’s cooler-than-average temperatures extended the ripening period, fostering balanced fruit development. As March brought warmer weather, the fruit achieved optimal flavour and ripeness. While yields were below average, this contributed to a greater concentration of flavour in the fruit, resulting in wines of remarkable depth and intensity
