And That's a Wrap 2022!
As we come to the end of 2022, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us throughout this year and to provide a summary of what Millon has accomplished in 2022 and some of our highlights over the past 12 months!
2022 Vintage
Despite an early hail storm that caused reduced yields on some of our Eden Valley fruit, the 2022 vintage has been one of the best vintages we have seen over the past five or so years. This was largely due to the rainfall we had throughout the growing season which allows for healthier and more vibrant growth of the fruit. The cooler temperatures created a much longer vintage which allowed the fruits to develop more complex, elegant flavours with an abundance of depth and elegance.
The quality of the 2022 vintage has already begun to shine through in our 2022 Grenache and Pinot Noir Rosés, which has been highly praised in multiple awards, shows, and competitions, as well as both critics and consumer reviews.
A number of 2022 vintage wines have been bottled throughout the last few months of the year, and will be released in January 2023! Make sure to sign up to our mailing list to receive the latest updates on our new releases!
New Products & Releases
2022 has been a busy year for the Millon design and production teams as we continue to develop better packaging for our wines to ensure that they look as good as they taste. At the same time, Millon has released new varieties and styles to provide ample options for our loyal supporters.
New Releases
2020 Reserve Shiraz – The first of our new Premium offering, made with 100% Barossa Shiraz, handpicked small parcels of fruit chosen specifically for this range, meticulously made and matured in 100% New French Oak for 18 Months.
2022 Estate Pinot Gris – The last varietal to be released in the new Estate Range, this wine is perfect for summer with its refreshing, acid-driven style while boasting layers of texture, complexity, and finesse. 100% Eden Valley and 100% delicious.
2022 Clare’s Secret Grenache Rose – This is the first of the New Clare’s Secret releases, made with Clare Valley Grenache. A textural wine with notes of strawberry and spice, finished with crisp, refreshing acidity.
2022 Impressionist Pinot Noir Rose – This is the first time we’ve made a Pinot Noir Rosé, in fact, this is the first time a Rosé has been included in the Impressionist Range. A softer style compared to the Clare Valley Rosé, this wine is well-rounded, complex, and layered with flavours of lifted fruits.
